I have always like gfs because of the wide selection they have to offer
If you need large quantities of food or paper supplies for say a reunion or large family. This is an ideal place to shop. They do not charge a membership like Sam's club and the prices are great.
For as long as the Clarksville, IN. store has been standing, my children and I have shopped there. Not only has it been convenient that the store is only a half a block from us and the kids have been walking there to get odds and ends as well as an occasional staple food.. The employees have always been kind and have treated us as neighbors. That is why we still shop there..It's a great place! The people make the place even better! And of course on certain Items such as the ground beef the price is GREAT!
Always greeted when you enter the store employees are always so very helpful if you are looking for a certain item , needing information on things and everyone has always been so very helpful, love shopping here
I have bought food from them for a large homeless feed for over 3 years every month. This Monday I called to get my normal turkey slicing done and gave them 3 hours notice and they informed me that their new policy is to not do same day slicing. This slicing takes about 15 minutes to finish so 3 hours is plenty of time. I advised I was a frequent customer and this was for the homeless and asked for one extension as I did not know the new policy and they said sorry no exceptions. I advised I really needed this food for the meal we are serving tonight to the homeless and they again advised no exceptions. Basically what I heard was "we don't feel like serving you today so you need to go shop somewhere else". No problem I am taking my business today and in the future elsewhere.
