I rent cars every year in Flordia and they never EVER have smelled or looked this bad. It's like Enterprise went to an auction and purchased bad cars for rentals...totally disappointed in the Indiana branches of Enterprise.
This was by far the WORST rental experience I've ever had with Enterprise. The first car had dents and scratches all over it. The inside the seats were stained, and the entire vehicle smelled of cigarettes and cleaner. It made me ill, so we exchanged it for another vehicle which also smelled of cleaner. When we asked the lady at the branch about the small or cleaner she said "that's just the way it is"...We had to leave it in the garage overnight with all the windows down every night. Thank God Honda fixed my vehicle sooner than expected.
Fast professional service at it's best. Love working with the team at Enterprise of Clarksville IN. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.
On a better note, when I turned in the car several days later, the branch manager apologized over and over, and removed one day's rental charge. Much appreciated by him. But an after-the-fact apology never really fixes the problem.
Car did not have any windshield washer fluid and a very dirty windshield at pick up. Before I left, I asked about this problem. The response was only to direct me to a store where I could buy some washer fluid. No apology, no offer of help, no recognition that this was THEIR problem. Since I was in a bit of a hurry, and it was a small office, I didn't push further but rather went and bought some washer fluid. Also, the interior of the car had a stale smell like someone had smoked in it and then there was an attempt to clean up the car.
I realize my insurance company paid for the rental, but they did not get their money's worth...
Everything went as expected. I was picked up on time. Vehicle was nice clean. Return was easy. And I was dropped back off at home. The only 2 minor things were. Cars interior could have been a little cleaner. Looked like it was wiped of with a dirty damp rag. Would have been nice to know how to get the third row sea to,g to work. But overall it was a good experience.
