They apparently require a hard credit check for an overnight test drive. I specifically and clearly told sales person not to do a hard check because it affects your credit...they did it anyway. When I confronted them about it the next day the manager (who had no clue what a hard inquiry is) pretty much laughed in my face and gave no excuse or sincere apology for his actions. They lied to my face and could have cared less.
As it turns out, this was in-fact the issue. The total price of remediation was around $400.
WE PURCHASED A 2017 BUICK ENCORE WITH 4200 MILES ON IT. IT WAS DEMO. WE GET IT HOME HADN'T EVEN GOT IT TAGGED YET. AND NOTICE THE BUMPER HAD PULLED OUT FROM UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT SO WE PUT IT IN THE SHOP TO HAVE THAT FIXED AND TO GO AHEAD WITH THE 5000 MILE OIL CHANGE. THEY TELL US THAT IT'S OUR FAULT ABOUT THE BUMPER THAT WE PARKED ON A CURB. WE SAY NO WE KNOW HOW LOW VEHICLES SIT. IT HAD TO COME OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE THAT WAY. THEN THEY CHANGE THE OIL. SO WE GET IT HOME WE PULL IT OUT OF THE GARAGE AND NOTICE OIL ON THE GARAGE FLOOR. WE RAN OUR FINGER OVER IT AND YEP SURE ENOUGH IT WAS OIL. SO WE OPEN THE HOOD A SHINE A FLASHLIGHT DOWN ON THE MOTOR AND THEY WAS 2 PUDDLES OF OIL ON THE MOTOR. THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT REALLY SUCKS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Very big dealership. Was treated good. Bought an SUV and very satisfied.
This was well-above our budget. So we decided against fixing it then. After another month of dealing with the issues, the battery finally failed and the car refused to start. We got a jump from OnStar and immediately brought it into another mechanic. They took one look at the vehicle and came to the conclusion that the alternator had gone bad.
Stay away from this dealership's maintenance department. It is evident to me that they have either incompetent mechanics, or they were trying to rip us off. In any case, it is unacceptable, and I will take my business elsewhere.
Our Chevy Cruze was experiencing lack of engine power, fuel economy, and random maintenance indicator issues. We dropped the vehicle off for diagnosis. After a couple of hours, they told us the news.
We were informed that the car had a fried downstream O2 sensor, and the water pump was also faulty. The total price of remediation came out to around $1,400.
I asked them about the other components that Coyle had said were faulty. The mechanic informed me that they were in really good condition and didn't need replacing.
We were very disappointed. When we arrived there were 4 or 5 sales people standing around. One person asked if we needed help and we said yes, he called over the speaker for a sales person to assist. After waiting 30 minutes we left. No one ever came over or even acknowledged us after the first person. They did not look busy at all.
