They make their own chips, tortillas, and a variety of salsas, all of which are the best of anywhere we've been. And that's just for starters...the meals are excellent, also. Meals include a choice of 2 different sides of rice, and 2 different bean dishes. A lot of the food is pretty spicy, so you should be prepared for that, but there are less spicy entrées, if you choose wisely. Lots of seating available, and service is always good, even when it is busy.
Pretty standard for Chuy's over-the-top Tex-Mex, staff was pleasant. Food was good. Leftovers were still good to eat
Great food and service. I only give 4 instead of 5 stars because of the heavy use of cilantro.
I would give this place 5 stars but for their tomato based salsa. There is only one type and it burns. I don't mean mild tingle on the tongue. I'm talking sneak up on you after you swallow mad burn down the throat pain. It is too hot for someone who doesn't like it spicy yet they offer no mild of that type. They have a great free build your own nacho/taco bar during happy hour in the bar and their food and service are excellent. If only they would offer a mild salsa, they'd be perfect...
Good all around place to eat. Chain restaurant. Cold beer, very good food, and a generaly nice atmosphere. Love their rice and beans options. You can kick up the spice level if you want or you don't have to. Worth a try for sure.
